Grounding is an ongoing, multi-prong project exploring somatic, psychological and cultural aspects of internet viral memes, specifically photo & video participatory fads which require the physical presence of the participating individuals in the image itself. Differing degrees of transparency can be seen as a parallel to human behavioral complexity. Memes as cultural elements become an evolutionary part of the posthuman zeitgeist where human behavior and self-identity are constantly affected.
