A New Nature

Plage au Havre

The exploration of cliffs and beaches of upper Normandy gives rise to a consciousness of what that landscapes entails: The end of a world war, the destruction of entire cities, bunkers being reabsorbed into the cliffs and countrysides. Whatever was left of destroyed cities was literally pushed into the sea.

The sea, the cliffs and the nearby landscapes have digested all of this, and created in turn this new landscape. You can still piece together the past from it, integrated into these new landscapes. A constant reminder on which to build a future.
